Take a moment

I think in life it is easy to get caught up in the here and now, caught up in the moment and forget reality. What is reality really? We all have our own definition of what is real and fake, acceptable and what is not.
But who has the right to judge people on their feelings, how they look or even their past? And if you do judge people, does that make you any better than the person you are judging?
We live in a world that seems to be focused on looks. In this harsh world everyone is striving to look their best, be the hottest, to be the ultimate package. But what is beauty if who are on the inside is not reflected on the outside. Yes, we have all heard beauty is only skin deep, this is true. If you look in the mirror and see beauty but feel ugly inside, you will always feel ugly, and reflect ugly. True beauty does come from within. Beauty starts with your heart, it comes from your soul, beauty, is more than your face or body it is your inner core. I grew up listening to people tell me I was not pretty enough, not good enough, but I always knew who I was on the inside, and that their words could not effect who I was inside. I believe God gave us our looks and we are made in his image, so to judge others looks are we then judging God’s looks?
I further believe that everyone is beautiful in their own way, unique and special. And if WE all could get past our own insecurities and find the beauty in others WE as a society, would be much better off, and happier.
I don’t judge anyone for judging I just ask you this, You who are judging people, are you much better, than the person that you judge?
So please don’t get caught up in the moment take the time to get to know people and you will find, as I have found that people all have some sort of beauty. Reality is what you see it be, real or fake we all have feelings, so please stop judging.

Much Love,
Kristy Joe
